Keller Scholarship

The Keller Selection Committee is aware of the difficulties with the FAFSA roll-out and how it may affect receipt of a financial package from your chosen university or college. Please do not let that prevent you from submitting an application for the Keller scholarship. It is important that it is received by May 1st, but you must submit your FAFSA and financial package immediately upon receipt.

Helping Students Succeed

The Marie West Keller Memorial Scholarship was established in 2009 through a bequest by Ed Keller, to honor his wife, Marie, and to benefit high school graduates in the East Aurora Union Free School District.

Marie Keller was a teacher in East Aurora for 41 years and also served on the East Aurora School Board from 1973 – 1979. She was a devoted teacher, loyal to her community and passionately committed to her students. This scholarship serves as a lasting tribute to Marie, honors her love for her students, and supports their continuing education.

As stewards of the scholarship, the East Aurora Educational Foundation is responsible for the administration of this restricted fund.  As established, the fund is directed in support of providing scholarships to deserving students and is not available for other grant making purposes.

Each student awarded the Marie West Keller Memorial Scholarship will receive a total award up to $30,000 paid in equal installments of $3,750 for up to four years. Each recipient must be enrolled full-time at a four-year college or university. For continued eligibility, each student must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA based on a 4.0 system measured at the end of each academic year.  Selection is based upon superior academic achievement, financial need and an overall commitment to excellence while attending East Aurora High School.

The scholarship application, along with the requested supporting documentation outlined on the application, is available on the EA Educational Foundation and the East Aurora  High School Counseling Center websites.
