Annual Appeal

2023 was a milestone year for the East Aurora Educational Foundation: we have officially given over one million dollars in grants, funded by the generosity of donors like you! We are extremely proud to fund amazing projects each year and 2023 was no different.

One of the grant-funded projects that garnered the most attention in 2023 was East Aurora High School’s Sustainable Agriculture Program, started by Science teachers Ethan Hansen and Jeffrey Shelley. The Sustainable Agriculture program teaches the K-12 school community and the East Aurora community at large that sustainable agriculture can be a global and local solution to environmental and economic problems. The first semester alone taught students how to build chicken tractors, raise various chickens, process a chicken, sell processed chickens, build hoop houses and other hands-on experiences. The first year of the program proved to be a success with a full class of 28 seniors immersed in the program daily, developing their farming, construction, and business skills.  Every day brings a new and enriching experience for students and faculty alike.  To learn more about this exciting program watch the videos below created by EAHS students.
