Restricted Funds

Restricted funds involve donations that come with specific conditions set by the donors. These funds must be used for  designated purposes.

East Aurora Educational Foundation restricted funds are used solely for those specific, agreed-upon purposes, not for general EAEF grants.

EAEF Athletic Fund

Created in 2026 with a generous initial investment of $250,000 from East Aurora residents Shawn and Brynn Patterson, the EAEF Athletic Fund (“Athletic Fund”) will be used to:

• Establish new interscholastic athletic programs and provide support for all components of those new programs, including: equipment and uniform purchases and replacements; facility access and rental; coaching stipends and professional development; and league, conference, or association fees
• Support interscholastic athletic program stability and sustainability by way of one-time, special use grants designed to protect or support program continuity and grant support for programs at the elementary, middle, and high schools designed to promote or enhance participation and performance in the District’s high school interscholastic sports programs

The Athletic Fund will not be used for any non-athletic expenses or individual scholarships, any type of regular and recurring cost or expense that’s regularly covered by the District budget (except as such costs and expenses relate to a new athletic program created through this Fund), or for facilities projects.

Donations to the Athletic Fund cannot be directed toward a specific athletic program, but rather, will be used to support EA Athletics at the discretion of the EAEF Board based on District needs and priorities.
