Student Scholarships & Awards
The East Aurora Educational Foundation is proud to steward and administer a variety of scholarship funds and awards for deserving East Aurora High School students.
Note: These scholarships and awards are made possible solely through private, individual donations. General EAEF funds are not utilized for student scholarships or awards.
Marie West Keller Memorial Scholarship
The Marie West Keller Memorial Scholarship was established in 2009 through a bequest by Ed Keller to honor his late wife, Marie, and to benefit high school graduates in the East Aurora School District. Marie taught in East Aurora for 41 years and also served on the East Aurora School Board from 1973-1979. She was a devoted teacher who was loyal to her community and passionately committed to her students. This scholarship serves as a lasting tribute to Marie, honors her love for her students, and supports their continuing education.
Each scholarship recipient will receive a total award up to $40,000, paid in equal installments of $5,000 per semester for up to eight semesters for college- or university- issued tuition, room and board fees and expenses, and other related fees or expenses.
Each recipient must be enrolled full-time at a four-year college or university. For continued eligibility, each student must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA based on a 4.0 system measured at the end of each academic year.
Selection is based upon superior academic achievement, financial need, and an overall commitment to excellence while attending East Aurora High School.

Congrats to the 2026 recipients!
Harry Tsujimoto Memorial Scholarship
The Harry Tsujimoto Memorial Scholarship was established in 2022 by Mark Tsujimoto to honor his late uncle, Harry (EAHS ‘44). The son of Japanese immigrants, Harry lived on his family’s farm in California until a presidential executive order established that 120,000 people of Japanese descent were to be forcibly relocated to an internment camp starting in 1942. After their release from internment, the Tsujimoto family moved to Elma, New York and started to farm again.
After graduating from EAHS, Harry attended Cornell University and graduated with a degree from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). He later went on to study at University of California, Berkeley. He authored many published papers and is recognized as a lecturer who exerted a major influence in plant biology and microbiology.
The Harry Tsujimoto Memorial Scholarship awards one $5,000 scholarship to a student attending a college or university who plans to major in one of the following fields: Environmental Science, Natural Sciences, Biology, Pre-Health, Medical Science, Biomedical Career, Agriculture, or Life Sciences. Financial need, first- or second-generation immigrant status, farming background, community service, scouting, and overcoming adversity are all considered to the extent feasible.
The selection committee consists of the six EAHS Science Department teachers, led by department chair John Swinich. Bill Roberts (EAHS principal) also participates on the selection committee.
